PathAI Expands AISight® Dx with v2.18 Release: Operational Dashboards, Smarter Workflows, and Streamlined Reporting

We’re thrilled to announce the release of AISight Dx v2.18, packed with new capabilities that strengthen operational visibility, streamline daily workflows, and give teams more control over collaboration and access. This release brings Operational Dashboards, smarter self-service tools, and faster, more consistent  reporting . Guided by customer feedback, PathAI will continue to evolve AISight Dx and we’re excited to share ongoing updates that further enhance diagnostic and research workflows.

Operational Visibility through New Dashboard Tab

  • Lab Directors can now use a new Operational Dashboard view to track slides ingested versus contracted slide allotments and to monitor algorithm runs over time, filterable by site, date, and contractual year.

  • Lab Managers and Lab Directors can now self-manage the case Pending Actions tags (labels and colors) directly in AISight Dx. This allows for seamless management and updates of these tags and coloring to signal urgency and theme.

Faster, more consistent reporting

Macros can now be mapped to multiple fields within report templates, helping pathologists apply standardized language across multiple fields in a single action to reduce clicks and edits.

User Experience Improvements

  • User settings (such as page selected, filters selected, table sort order) now persist across key pages like Case Assignment, Slides Library, and folders, eliminating unnecessary duplicative filtering and ordering when moving from page to page
  • A new filter was created for ”Unassigned” cases and a new dropdown selector that highlights the five most recently assigned pathologists, to enable seamless and quick manual case assignment.
  • In the Slides Library, users now see a running count of selected slides.
  • PHI-enabled Bulk Exports now include unique identifiers of the patient case and slide (e.g., patient name, MRN, DOB).
  • “Public” folders renamed to “Organization Users” to clarify that the folders are not shareable to guest users. In the near future, folders can be made available for guest sharing.
  • Slide tray ordering in the de-identified view now mirrors the slide order in the PHI view.

Flexible collaboration

  • New User Roles
  • New “AI-Blinded Resident” role provides full platform access while hiding algorithm results.
  • New “Partner Pathologist” role limits default visibility to assigned cases and removes Slides Library views, while still allowing collaboration on shared cases or slides. This can be utilized for TC/PC workflows and for customers with multiple external pathology groups that require restricted visibility.
  • AISight Live Session-Specific Chat

AISight Live now includes a dedicated, session-specific chat that is separate from accession discussion, is deleted after the session, and supports both provisioned AISight Dx users and guest participants.

Expanded Configuration Controls

AISight Dx now offers expanded configuration controls at the org, site, and lab levels, including more flexible WSI export settings, a default curbside secondary review workflow, optional automatic case finalization based on age, and a new configurable HL7 event message when slides are deleted.
