Senior Product Marketing Manager

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will join the newly-formed BioPharma Product Marketing team at PathAI and will be responsible for leading the marketing strategy for our oncology algorithms and clinical development services to pharmaceutical companies (we refer to these customers as biopharma). This person will be able to drive their own strategy and contribute to building the Marketing function as they partner with cross-functional teams, develop customer and KOL relationships, and be a thought leader for our Business Development and Strategic Partnerships team. The ideal candidate is someone who has product marketing experience, is ready to apply their skill sets in a fast-paced and growing company, and is excited to shape the new category of AI-powered pathology. 

 

The Role:

Annual Marketing Strategy

  • Lead and manage annual marketing strategy to drive biopharma awareness and lead generation for PathAI’s Clinical Development Services, focused on oncology 
  • Set marketing objectives, strategies, and performance targets for the year; track performance metrics and recommend remediating actions
  • Develop and maintain annual marketing content calendar and budget

Customer Insights and Value Prop Development

  • Design and execute market or customer research projects to uncover unmet needs, whitespace, or new perceptions to inform marketing strategies and messaging
  • Develop, maintain, and refine value proposition and narrative for Clinical Development Services in partnership with Product, Scientific Programs, and Business Development

Marketing Execution and Communications

  • Develop and maintain marketing and sales collateral for customer pitch presentations, conference booth materials, website, and other content types (e.g., webinars, data sheets)
  • Communicate and distill highly complex, clinical research and topics for a biopharma audience – this role is expected to write marketing copy, with support from internal subject-matter experts
  • Partner with Digital Marketing and Corporate Marketing on marketing channel selection, investment, and digital metrics reporting
  • Lead internal design or external agencies on creative and content development, from brief creation to project management, to output/deliverables
  • Create PathAI's communication strategy for industry conferences and publications in partnership with Scientific Programs team and Corporate Events team

Innovation and Launch

  • Create and execute multi-channel marketing plan in support of new product launches in partnership with the Product team
  • Track launch metrics and performance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify remediating tactics or shifts in launch strategy as needed

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in product marketing; MBA is preferred but not required
  • 3+ years prior experience at pharma or biotech company; prior experience marketing to pharmaceutical customers is preferred; experience in oncology a plus, but not required
  • Strong desire or demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate healthcare key messages and value propositions associated with scientific and technical concepts or data (e.g., Kaplan Meier curves)
  • Experience with presenting recommendations and strategies to senior-level management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and write copy on highly clinical or technical topics (examples will be requested and can include articles, external presentations, or video scripts)
  • Data-driven approach to developing and analyzing marketing tactics and performance
  • Strong desire and demonstrated experience with cross-functional communication and internal stakeholder management
  • Experience working with and/or managing agencies (or internal creative teams) in integrated communications, including brief development, evaluation of creative, and copy development
  • Experiencing interpreting customer and market insights and developing a market research plan
