Over the past five years, PathAI has developed partnerships with many of the top global biopharmaceutical companies and biotechs, with the goal of integrating digital & computational pathology into the drug development process from early R&D through to commercial. As drug development increasingly trends towards personalized and targeted indications, computational pathology offers opportunities to enable faster and cheaper drug development, bringing lifesaving treatments to patients. To meet the constantly growing demand from our life sciences partners, PathAI is building out the Biopharma Partnerships team.

Where You Fit

The Sr. Manager / Director, Biopharma Alliance Management will be a member of the PathAI Commercial Team, responsible for leading broad multi-faceted partnerships with PathAI’s largest biopharma partners. The Sr. Manager / Director, Biopharma Alliance Management  will be the face of PathAI to these accounts and will be accountable for ensuring the overall health of the partnerships remain strong. This individual will coordinate and oversee a broad and diverse portfolio of projects ongoing with biopharma partners spanning multiple PathAI product and business lines and many functions and teams within the biopharma partner. This individual will oversee the PathAI cross-functional stakeholder team involved in executing our work with these partners, while also helping to navigate the biopharma partner organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and lead a portfolio of biopharma partnership, ranging established “strategic” biopharma partners to those with earlier relationships with PathAI. 
  • Implement governance processes (e.g., Joint Executive Committees) and oversee joint project teams to achieve partnership goals
  • Partner with commercial organization to identify partnership projects and further opportunities for growth within alliance accounts
  • Proactively address issues and mitigate risks arising from partnership activities
  • Be the voice of the biopharma partner internally at PathAI 
  • Oversee financial and non-financial obligation tracking, including oversight of routine partner reviews (internal and external)
  • Drive SOW development and MSA amendment processes, with Legal and other stakeholders as required to support the partnership
  • Conduct periodic stakeholder check-ins to solicit feedback and ensure continuous improvement in partner operations and health

What You Bring

  • 8-10+ years of experience working in the life sciences industry – directly at biopharma companies, or companies providing products / services to the biopharma industry
  • 5+ years of experience in Alliance Management or Business Development / Partnerships in the life sciences or advanced diagnostics industries
  • Familiar with, and comfort discussing, drug development, oncology, precision medicine and 
  • Comfort working in a scrappy, all-hands-on-deck environment; embodies a mindset of urgency
  • Strong relationship building with all levels within biopharma organizations
  • Ability to work and manage a cross-functional team, specifically willingness to collaborate with marketing, product development, scientific and medical teams, etc.
  • Hands-on, experienced, proactive, independent, articulate, and can get in the weeds but also think at the thirty-thousand foot level

*We are open to remote work. Some travel required for client meetings.
