GCDFP-15

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) · Women's Health
GCDFP-15 is a marker of apocrine differentiation, and is expressed in breast cystic fluid as well as in apocrine, lacrimal, ceruminous, Moll's and eccrine glands. GCDFP-15 expression is found in neoplastic cells from primary and metastatic tumors of the breast. With the exception of carcinomas of the salivary gland, sweat gland and prostate, the majority of other neoplasms evaluated are GCDFP-15-negative. Antibodies to GCDFP-15 are useful for the identification of breast carcinoma and metastatic tumors of breast origin.
